Afghan vs Turkish vs Indian anjeer
Afghan anjeer are large, soft and naturally sweet, usually golden-brown. Turkish figs (Turkey anjeer) are often lighter in colour with a milder taste. Indian anjeer are smaller and darker. Afghan anjeer is in stock online; Turkish anjeer can be ordered on request.
What decides the anjeer price per kg
Origin and size first, then softness and colour — large, soft, evenly coloured figs cost more. The price table above shows our live pack prices, inclusive of GST.
How to soak anjeer
Soak 2–3 dried figs in water overnight (6–8 hours); they turn plump and soft. Many families eat soaked anjeer in the morning.
How to store dried figs
Keep figs in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. In hot or humid weather, refrigerate them to keep them soft and fresh.
