The Founder's Story
Seema Gupta founded Pala-G India with a question that nobody else was asking: "Why do Indians eat plain dry fruits when the rest of the world is experimenting with flavours on everything?"
The Indian dry fruit market had existed for centuries — almonds, cashews, pistachios, raisins. Same products, same packaging, same taste profiles for decades. Meanwhile, global snacking had exploded with Tiramisu chocolates, Biscoff everything, Korean Chilli snacks, Peri Peri flavours. But the Indian dry fruit aisle hadn't changed.
"I saw a gap in the market, and I realised it wasn't a gap — it was an entire missing category," Seema recalls. "We started with 10 flavours. The goal was never 280+. But once customers tasted what was possible, they kept asking for more. Every flavour they suggested, we tried to create."
Three years later, Pala-G has become the world's largest collection of flavoured dry fruits. Not by copying existing brands, but by inventing products that didn't exist: Chocodip Almonds (WE invented this term), Biscoff Cashews, Korean Chilli Kaju, Tiramisu Badam. Every product has a story. Every flavour was a question someone asked, and we answered.
"The mission was always simple," Seema says. "Make healthy snacking exciting. Make Indian brands proud. And build something so deep — so vast — that no one can replicate it in under a decade of R&D. That's our moat. That's why Pala-G will still be the world's largest flavoured dry fruits brand in 2035."
Why Flavoured Dry Fruits?
Plain dry fruits are healthy but monotonous. Most people tire of them within days of regular consumption, reaching for chips, biscuits, and processed snacks instead. The result: India's ₹1.5 lakh crore snack market is dominated by products with zero nutritional value.
Flavoured dry fruits solve this by combining the nutrition of nuts with genuinely exciting taste profiles.
