Kishmish, munakka and black raisins — the difference
Kishmish are small seedless raisins, green to golden in colour. Munakka are larger dark-brown raisins dried from bigger grapes and usually contain seeds. Green kishmish is the everyday Indian raisin; black raisins (kali kishmish) are dried black grapes. We stock Afghan black raisins, premium kishmish and flavoured kishmish; munakka can be ordered on request while we add it to the site.
How to store raisins
Keep raisins in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Chocolate-coated raisins are best kept below 25°C; refrigerate them in summer so the coating stays firm.
