Sugar coated nuts (also called praline nuts or candy nuts) are premium almonds, cashews or peanuts coated in a crunchy sugar or caramel shell. Pala-G offers both classic sugar-coated and more adventurous flavour-coated variants — rose, saffron, strawberry, and more.
Are sugar coated almonds good for health?+
Sugar coated almonds retain the nutritional benefits of almonds (protein, Vitamin E, healthy fats) with added sugar. They are best enjoyed in moderation as a treat. A 20g portion provides the benefits of almonds with approximately 4–5g of added sugar.
Are sugar coated nuts suitable for weddings and events?+
Yes — sugar coated almonds (dragées) are a traditional wedding favour in many cultures, especially Mediterranean and South Asian weddings. Pala-G's sugar coated range is popular for Indian weddings, Eid celebrations, and festive gifting.
Do sugar coated nuts contain artificial colours?+
Pala-G uses food-grade colour coatings in compliance with FSSAI regulations. Specific colour information is available on each product's ingredient label. We aim to use natural food colours where possible.
What is the shelf life of sugar coated nuts?+
Sugar coated nuts last 3–6 months from manufacture in a cool, dry environment. Avoid humidity as moisture can cause the sugar coating to become sticky or dissolve. Store in an airtight container away from direct sunlight.

What is mishri and how is it different from sugar coated nuts?+
Mishri (rock candy or crystallised sugar) is solidified sugar used in Indian religious rituals and as a mouth freshener after meals. It is different from sugar-coated nuts — mishri is pure sugar crystals, while sugar coated nuts have a nut centre.
